HOMAPAL: Science meets business - Future Mile 2
SPATIAL CONCEPT PROMOTES MULTILATERAL COOPERATION AT THE UNIVERSITY OF PADERBORN.
Combining theory and practice - science, research and business units have come together at the University of Paderborn’s Zukunftsmeile 2 (Future Mile 2) through modern architecture and cleverly thought-out spatial concepts.
Once completed, the new building will have four floors and a total area of just under 20,000 square metres; it will house workplaces for the 250 employees who are predominantly involved in solutions for automation and digitalisation. Included will be a common foyer with a representative reception area and a multifunctional canteen with seating for up to 200 people.

MAGNETIC BOARDS THE PERFECT SYMBIOSIS OF FUNCTIONALITY AND DESIGN
Future-orientated working conditions - shared project rooms, areas for co-working and special “break-out zones” offer forward-looking working conditions and enable collaborative and multilateral work among employees. In concrete terms, this means that colleagues from the company and the university are spatially intermixed in what can be termed “mixed zones”.
Instead of dividing up office space according to organizational affiliation, team members are grouped together in the building complex according to thematic and professional aspects. In this way, open exchange takes place that optimally promotes communication and cooperation in joint projects. A modern working environment.

HOMAPAL MAGNETIC AND PROJECTION BOARDS IN THE CO-WORKING AREA.
The Paderborn office of Matern Architekten is responsible for the architectural planning. The task for the open space area was to combine functionality and creativity in one space. The perfect solution: The Homapal 8206 magnetic boards with board marker suitability and 8207 for projection. The functional open space creates an atmosphere in which people enjoy exchanging ideas, holding meetings and making use of all presentation options.
The wall design with built-in tables and pin boards creates communicative and creative work niches, which are flanked by Homapal's magnetic boards and their functional properties.
Pinning, attaching, writing or projecting images onto the wall - this perfectly supports productivity and joint brainstorming among like-minded people.
